Projects
Each year the Conservation Learning Centre undertakes numerous projects to help provide pertinent, timely information to producers about issues of concern. Visit the links on the menu to the left to learn more about these projects.

2010 Project List
It was a wet growing season throughout the province. Click here to see the project list or go direct through the left side current projects menu. Find out which crops weathered the season, the optimum time to plant, some effects of fertalizers, new crops, crop development and even the heartiest apple trees.
From Production to Profit
Our new course offering challenges traditional paradigms of production based agriculture. We have the view that a farm is really a small to medium sized business. All other business models have evolved to be profit based. We think that by teaching farmers to focus on net dollars per acre rather than bushels, they can take control of their profitability - eventually moving towards profit before subsidies are applied! A profitable farming economy means keeping Saskatchewan's youth here, where they belong.
Riparian Management
By changing to perennial crops in 'nooks and crannies' near waterbodies like the winding Carrot River, farmers reduce their inputs to the point they can make more money, farming less land. It's a win-win for the environment and farmer.
